If you ever play FFA, sitrep is a must. IEDs littered everywhere. SAT COM's, too. The whole map glows orange.

That's why I do not play FFA in this CoD. To many cheap pathetic noobs. At least BO2 just had stupid noobs.

Now that I have over 3 days invested and am properly familar with the pace of the game (i.e I don't think that one dies as quickly as I felt they did when the game released - I can take a bullet now, and the insta-death feeling is far less felt), I have dropped a few of my speed-perks, as I can trust myself to get the first shot off without needing the speed boost 'Ready-Up' and 'Quickdraw' grant, so I now use the following as my 'Go To'

AK-12 (or any AR that I'm trying to Gold)
    Suppressor & Extended Mags

    Sleight of Hand
    Stalker
    Dead Silence
    Amplify
    Focus

Stalker is a given as is Focus.

I'm usually good at reloading in cover, or knowing when to reload (especially with Extended Mags), but I love the feeling of Sleight of Hand - the AK-12 in particlar seems to need it more, it feels as if it has a really drawn out reload process.

The other 2 perks are in an attempt to remedy the frustrating levels of soundwhoring in the game. Amplify allows you, not only to hear the enemy louder, but I feel it makes my own movements quieter (to myself), I use Dead SIlence and crouch-walking to prevent getting sound-whore'd myself.

    It's a good class.

Ac that's close to my class although switch out sleight of hand for sit rep for what I believe is the most well rounded class set up. Sit rep helps avoid Ied spam as well as identifying sat coms, ammo crates etc to help with your kill streaks.

Regarding kill streaks I change dependent on map and players although on open maps the heli pilot once you get used to controlling it can get a lot of kills.

Tend to run specialist but if running assault go for attack chopper, Griffon and heli pilot. Won't control the griffon until I have unlocked the heli though.

It is really not a set up, but I hear tons of cussing of my name from it.

Equip motion detector and ied. Since they throw the same distance, throw the ied first then put the motion detector on top of it. This masks the ied, also really hard to see the ied with sitrep.

Most people do not care about being tagged by the motion, so they run by it and die because they did not see the ied.

It is fun for annoying people.

I've got a lot of time played and get fed up of tryharding/owning easy players all the time, so I started goofing around.

I introduce my Danger close class:

    AK12
    Muzzle Brake & Launcher
    Kastet

    Stalker
    Reflex
    Danger Close

It is really fun noob-toobing the sweaty players LOL! TBH - I'd get extremely pi55ed if someone was doing this to me.

I devised the class for SIenge, Warhawk and Prison Break, because people have a tendancy to camp the windows and towers - so I just sent toobs their way!

I then started using it for the whole session because in the AK and Stalker, I was able to remain competiive in gun-fights, whilst Danger Close, and the explosive elements of the class were used to target the annoying players and wind up the guys playing over-seriously.

So funny watching people go flying!

Might as well share my definite setup.

    AK-12 w/ Silencer & Grip

    Ready Up
    Sleight of Hand
    Hardline
    Dead Silence
    Amplify
    Sitrep

Been using this for a while at this point. Basically go for killstreaks. Don't need extra tools or even ammo, I just grab whatever's on the ground. Yeah, Extended Mags on the AK is nice, but for the times I do fire fully auto, I want that accuracy. The limited supply of ammo isn't too much of a problem for me. For the most part, with Hardline, you only need six kills for the Trinity Missle.

I dropped Quickdraw from my classes a long time ago. Ready Up is still indispensable, but I've gotten used to the standard ADS times. Not using it was the best decision I've ever made when building classes in this game. When I used it, I had only one point left over to shoehorn Gamble or some other meager item into the class. Not using it gives room for two useful two-point perks. With those points, I used Dead Silence and Sitrep. Pairing Sitrep and Amplify to bring back the old Sitrep Pro is amazing in this game for weeding out campers and gathering info.

If you are going for continuous Hind and Helo Pilot chains, always use Hardline and Sitrep. Regarding to Hardline, the assists go a long way, especially after your first killstreak cycle. If you're still alive and are getting some points already, assists from your killstreaks can still work. When your hind fails to kill someone and a teammate gets them, you still get the point, for example. Sitrep makes tracking killstreak equipment easy (very nice when piloting the helicopter since you still get a point for destroying it). As long as your team isn't completely stupid and making the spawns worse, you can often get two gunners a match (which is why you need Hardline to get points without killing the scoreboard too fast).

On smaller maps, swap the gunner for the Gryphon.

Still not buying in to the Hardline hype :D LOL

My staple, when I'm not running speciailist, is Trinity, Hind and Helo - like you, I rarely struggle for my Trinity, but once I get it - you can bet your bottom dollar that I'll be playing to ensure I get my Hind and Helo.

You not a Stalker fan man?

Nope, overrated. Does nothing for me. Around corners, you can simply hop around to get a guy on the other side. And at long range, it's not the most helpful because I run max sensitivity (20). Best to keep my strafing speed to a minimum at that point.

For the longest time I've been running the following stable combo:

    Dead Silence
    Wiretap
    Hardline

I got it on all my classes on all my soldiers.
    • Dead Silence means I can move swiftly and flank effectively while listening closely to enemies.
    • Wiretap is self-explanatory mostly but I also have it just to know when the enemy knows where I am as well - if I get radar sweeps someone on the other team will be getting them too.
    • And, well, Hardline is not only for my love for (support) killstreaks but most of the time I am also running a streak or two for an operation (Air Superiority is the worst operation in game when you are a good player - enemies can't get any air support if they can't score kills or points :/ )

From here I expand based on what I need. For instance at the moment I'm going for "Time is money" operation (paybacks with Semtex) so I got every class supplied with Semtex x 2. When I was doing Motion Sensor I had 2 of them, etc.

    The weapons I use:

    • Honey Badger - I started with the stealth class for my first soldier so this is what I used for very long.
    • SC-2010 - After having used Honey Badger for so long then swapping to this it was not until I tried to go back when I realized how incredibly accurate this is. Haven't used other rifles on my second soldier.
    • L115 when I snipe.
    • MK14 EBR when I feel like doing some semi-auto work.
Only my sniper class is ever equipped with a secondary, and I only use P226 ('cept that crazy Magnum Acog Akimbo challenge of course)

From tacticals I prefer the usual Stun nade. Might not have it always though even when not using another tactical for operations' sake or needing the points elsewhere.

I'm having a hard time choosing my favorite lethal - I.E.D. I can use to cover objectives efficiently but with a standard Frag I'm a really good chef.

Oh, and I play almost exclusively Domination. I would play Demolition and other objective modes this game lacks...

    Fair enough.

I run Stalker religiously - my accuracy suffers from strafe-shooting, but my survivability definitely benefits. I feel stuck in the mud when I play without it, it's that feeling of trying to dropshot and getting prone-blocked or trying to strafe and being stopped by something in the way. I feel more accurate without Stalker, but also feel more vulnerable and play much slower too - which are hindrances to me.

I play on a 6 sensitivity though - and understand that Stalking on a 20 sensitivity is probably ill-advised.

Hhhhhmmm, I got some good tips from this thread that I might have to try out. I haven't played Ghosts in awhile, so maybe it'll be nice to freshen it up with some new classes.

I don't have a go-to class as of yet, but I am liking the Bizon so far. I am still getting used to how this game works, haha.

I play mostly Search and Destroy so here is the class that i use most of the time.

    Primary: Remington
Attachments: Red dot, Grip, Armor Piercing

Perks: Ready Up, Quickdraw, Dead Silence, Focus, and Extra Attachment

I have found that I don't usually use stuns or grenades very often so I have opted to making my primary very powerful. Most of the perks I have equipped I also feel are pretty essential for search and destroy where it is important to be able to aim and react quickly.
